Caption: “Sordid misfits on a lonely beach of lust and violence” Publication information: Paperback cover art for Scandal on the Sand by John Trinian published by Macfadden-Bartell Books in 1970.. Medium: Gouache on board Size: 18.5 x 12” Signature: signed lower center. Condition: Very good, light surface dirt noticeable on the woman's face. Matted but not framed. Comment: A striking montage... artist friends tell me how hard it is the retain balance in a montage composition and to make it work... to me this is a first-rate example. Includes a copy of the book, which judging by the cover blurbs is a treat in its own right. Price: $1,450.
