Published in Ladies Home Journal of July, 1939. Medium: Oil on board Size: 29 x 21” Signature: signed lower right. Condition: Very good, though could stand a light cleaning. Not framed. Comment: Parker is often mostly readily associated with the bold design and constant innovation that took it's strongest hold through the 1950's and 1960's. With its very modern look and large areas of white (though this particular effect is lessened by the type as shown in the magazine reproduction) this shows that Parker the innovator did not suddenly spring fully formed onto the illustration scene.
