  Artist: Harold von Schmidt (1893-1982)

Description: Animal anatomy drawings – Horse and Dog.

Publication information: Both were published in the Famous Artists School correspondence course, in multiple editions.

Medium: Pen and ink, gouache en grisaille

Size: 19 x 18.5” (horse), 15.25 x 17.5” (dog)

Signature: Neither signed.

Condition: Art is executed on illustration board which has been adhered to another sheet... adhesive is visible at edges, printer's notations and stray tape residue. Overall very good, not framed

Comment: Like the Fawcett and Parker, fresh from the warehouse. As a founding member of the faculty of the Famous Artists School, who better to teach on animal anatomy than the master himself? I'd anticipate clients having a difficult time deciding between the two of these, so also offer the option of buying both and saving some money.

Price: $650 each – or – the pair for $1200.
