| Artist: William Hatherell (1855-1928) Description: Apparition seen across the river. Publication information: Not yet known. Medium: Watercolor and ink on illustration board Size: 9.25 x 13.75” Signature: Signed lower left. Condition: Very good, not framed. Comment: Perhaps that's Jesus across the river, hence the surprise registered on the faces of the other figures. This seems most like a book illustration to me, since so much of Hatherell’s magazine work was done in black and white. This is reasonably priced for a full-color example. Price: $2,000. |
