Publication information: Story illustration for "I Have Fought the Good Fight" by Maud Radford Warren appearing in the Febraruary 1919 issue of Metrolpolitan Magazine. Medium: Oil on canvas Size: 22 x 18” Signature: signed lower right. Condition: Very good excepting repair to horizontal area of loss approximately 2” from top edge and small areas of loss in lower left. Framed Comment: Soulen’s storytelling style and compositional strength are reminiscent of both his teacher, Howard Pyle and his contemporary, Harvey Dunn. Price: $2,900. |
