Welcome to Taraba Illustration Art's latest batch of website pictures. Those of you who are veterans of the site will realize, I hope, that I've gone from twelve FRESH pieces to eighteen this time around. There are a few reasons for this. First and foremost, I've gotten in a lot of good material recently and want to be sure to show something that will interest everyone who's on my emailing list. With more and more consignors, it's important to me to show those people's property as consistently as feasible. Finally, space is always at a premium and it's the selling of artwork that keeps me in business.
In addition to a variety of projects... I'm presently at work on gearing up for the San Diego ComicCon. That runs from July 21st - 25th this year. If you've never been... it's truly a blast. There's lots to see and lots to do and by the time it's over, sensory overload will have a whole new meaning for you. If you don't have tickets yet, plan to go in 2011. If you do plan to attend, be sure to come see me in Booth 405 (my usual spot).
Also coming up soon I'll be exhibiting at the Rocky Mountain Book and Paper Fair. That takes place in the Expo Building at Denver's Merchandise Mart August 6th and 7th. I opted to do this show based on a huge number of movie and television stills and vintage photography that I have. The attendees and fellow dealers are an illustration-friendly crowd and so there's yet another reason for me to do this. Hope to see many of you there.
In closing... I'll be working on making a client database to list what customers want in terms of original artwork. It's very much of a work in progress and the real push to get it done is unlikely to commence until after the summer shows. Please don't assume that I know exactly what you seek and if you can give me specifics about your interests, please do. If you're like me and like a huge range of material, that of course is fine. But if you seek works by particular artists or of particular subject matter, it will make it easier on me to keep you in the loop as things come in.
