Redmond, Alec

Main Publication Use
Price: $4,250.00

Description: Man in tophat with satchel and cash

Comment: Redmond, unlike some others, such as Norman Saunders, were most interested in distilling the subject to be depicted down to the smallest number of elements thus making the image almost iconic. There are no cops busting down the door, no guns going off. A lot of pulps focus on the instant of action... one second later and the situation will have changed dramatically... not the case with Redmond, who let the subject's expression convey enough of the story to get the viewer to buy the magazine.

Price: $4,250 + $100 shipping
