Kirchner, Harry

Price: $9,750.00

Description: Fiends bust in on rescue attempt

Comment: Maybe I'd have to read the story to get the full scoop, but typically good guy(s) busts down the door to rescue beautiful woman in distress. Such subjects were very much the lifeblood of the pulps.Usually though, the ensuing gunplay does not include a good guy being seriously wounded. So, maybe… good guy in process of rescue is interrupted by bad guys. There's no obviously evil character here, but my guess is that it's the bad guys charging through the doorway. As a Who's Who segue here… Harry Kirchner came to be later (and probably better) known as Harry Kane, illustrator who was the main talent doing covers in The Three Investigators series of books which are wildly popular among a wide swath of collectors. Have a color photocopy of the magazine cover to accompany the artwork.
