Sickles, Noel

Print
Price: $3,850.00

Description: Troops mustering for battle

Comment: In this example, it's the quiet before the battle that the artist conveys convincingly. He pulls this off in a thousand subtle ways. The commander (evidently James Bowie preparing to lead the charge to retake the Alamo) standing in his stirrups to get a better view of the enemy pulls the whole composition together.

Price: $3,850 (+ $100 domestic shipping)
