Heaslip, William

Price: $6,600.00

Description: Dirigible “Akron” with ships at sea

Comment: Most likely the discrepancy between the date of publication and the date of signature means that at the time of publication it was unsigned and the artist added the date at the time of signing. Most likely. As of this writing a copy of the magazine (or at least the cover of the magazine) is on its way to me and will be included with the purchase of the art. Interestingly, about a year-and-a-half after this image appeared, the Akron crashed into the ocean and became “the deadliest airship disaster on record.” There's a lot of worthwhile reading available on the topic. It looks so reliable and peaceful here.

Price: $6,600 (+ $100 domestic shipping)
