Jackson, E. M.

Print
Price: $3,500.00

Description: Allegory – Life and Death

Comment: My theory, and it's hardly groundbreaking, is that this was painted probably for a magazine story as commentary in the aftermath of WWII. For many the lily is the symbol of rebirth and purity. We can read this as a commentary that all will be forgiven. Whether it will, or it won't is a question for another day. Given Jackson's training as an architect, this would also make sense as a design for something more monumental than a magazine story. An impressive original.

Price: $3,500 (+ $125 domestic shipping)
