Rockwell, Norman

Price: $22,000.00

Description: Boy Scout carrying basket, older man looking on

Provenance: Sold by Illustration House (1997), at which time it was came the Estate of Fred Hildebrandt, friend and colleague of Rockwell's.

Comment: Here's something very cool for Rockwell fans. This is a large preliminary drawing that figures to be from early in the career of the single-most-recognized name in American illustration. Make no mistake, it's easy to spend a lot (a whole lot) of money on Rockwell… this though will give you more to admire than pretty much any Rockwell original in this kind of price range. As you'll see above, it's big. The provenance too is strong, having been owned by Rockwell, then Fred Hildebrandt and passed down, then to the current owner through Illustration House.

Price: $22,000 (+ $125 domestic shipping)
